GENERAL APPEARANCE: The Saintcross Shepherd Dog is a well-balanced, strong and agile animal, alert, extremely intelligent and full of life. The dog is longer than tall and deep-bodied. It looks substantial and not spindly, giving the impression, both at rest and in motion, of muscular fitness and nimbleness without any look of clumsiness or soft living. Its hard, muscular body conveys the impression of effortless movement and endless endurance. Secondary sex characteristics are strongly marked, and every dog gives a definite impression of masculinity or femininity, according to its sex.
TEMPERAMENT: The breed has a distinct personality marked by direct and fearless, but not hostile, expression, self-confidence and a certain aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships. It is poised, but when the occasion demands, eager and alert; both fit and willing to serve in its capacity as companion, watchdog, blind leader, herding dog, or guardian, whichever the circumstances may demand. The dog must not be timid, shrinking behind its master or handler; never showing fear, dullness or resentment. Lack of confidence under any surroundings is not typical of good character.
SIZE, PROPORTION, SUBSTANCE:
The height at the withers varies from 28" to 30" for males, 26" to 28" for females.
The body, from prosternum to point of buttocks, is slightly longer than the height at the withers. Dogs must be presented in hard working condition. Excess body weight is not to be mistaken for muscle or substance. Any single feature of size appearing out of proportion should be considered a fault.
HEAD: The head is noble, cleanly chiseled, strong without coarseness and in proportion to the body. The head of the male is distinctly masculine, and that of the bitch distinctly feminine. Expression is intelligent, alert, eager, and full of interest.
Eyes are set well apart, of moderate size, oval in shape. The color encompasses the full range of brown eyes; diluted dogs can have only amber eyes. Blue eyes (with one, both or part of them) in dogs other than merle are a fault. Eye rims should be fully pigmented, lack thereof considered a fault according to degree.
Ears are moderately pointed, in proportion to the skull, one or both carried erect and/or semi-erect. When semi-erect, the tips may fall forward only.
NECK, TOPLINE, BODY: The neck is strong and muscular, clean-cut and relatively long, proportionate in size to the head and without loose folds of skin.
Topline: Back is level from behind the withers to the slightly arched, muscular loins, falling to a gently sloping croup.
Body is athletic in appearance with a deep, moderately broad and capacious chest reaching no further than the point of the elbow.
The tail is set on low and is moderately long with the bone reaching at least to the hock. The ideal tail carriage is low or slightly curled over the back.
FOREQUARTERS: Forelegs should be parallel when viewed from front, pasterns slightly sloping when viewed from side. The shoulder blades are long, well laid back and well-angulated to the upper arm. The elbows are neither in nor out. Feet are compact, oval in shape; pads deep and strong, toes moderately arched and close together with strong nails of moderate length.
HINDQUARTERS: Broad and muscular, in profile sloping gracefully to the low set tail. The thighs are long, broad, deep and muscular. Stifles are well turned with strong hocks that may be either parallel or very slightly turned in. Dewclaws should be removed. Feet, although slightly smaller, are the same as front.
COAT: Two varieties are permissible, both having close-fitting double coats; top coat straight and coarser in texture than the undercoat which is soft, short and dense.
The standard variety is medium length. Haunches, chest, underside and ears are feathered and the coat on face, feet, fronts of legs is short and smooth. The modern variety has much more fur on forelegs, haunches, chest, underside to hindlegs, ears and small hair tufts on husks. Coat is moderately long and perfectly straight. Neither coat type is preferred over the other.
GAIT: A Saintcross Shepherd Dog is a trotting dog, and its structure has been developed to meet the requirements of its work. The gait is outreaching, elastic, seemingly without effort, smooth and rhythmic, covering the maximum amount of ground with the minimum number of steps. At a walk it covers a great deal of ground, with long stride of both hind legs and forelegs. At a trot the dog covers still more ground with even longer stride, and moves powerfully but easily, with coordination and balance so that the gait appears to be the steady motion of a well-lubricated machine.
FAULTS:
- Cropped or hanging ears.
- Lack of a mane.
- Curly coat.
- White covering over 80% of the body
- White around ears and eyes.
- Undershot jaw.
- Blue eye(s) on a non-merle
- Butterfly nose on a non-merle

You can obtain puppy only by imports or adoptables.

These are not to be crossbred or outcrossed with anything.

Crossdogs carry from 2 to maximum 12 offspring per litter.

The standard type can be crossed with modern type but there's 25% chance of curly-coated offspring.

Reference sheet and registration in a breed group (coming soon) within a month is required.

Yes, finally! After all this time I made a breedsheet of my Crossdogs! I'm sooo excited! I know that probably people won't like them (nobody likes my breeds, lolwhat), but... Let's say I'm going to make imports and start playing with kennels and stuff. Would anybody be interested in getting one? Probably I'll give them for free just to make sure people will like them... And if I'm lucky my dogs will be as popular as other dA breeds! ~~no.~~

Your liver for noses looks isabella and either liver or isabella is missing for skin colors. Your red merle looks like actual red rather than a liver merle. And both the red and the dilute look harlequin rather than merle.

Anyways, cute breed ^^ I like both types.

Even with photos, color terms may vary by breed. I use the most used genetic terms.

In breeds, fawn can be either light gold or isabella, which aren't even caused by the same type of pigment, you see.
